It has been confirmed that the sequel to the hit 1994 movie Dumb and Dumber is set to begin shooting in September this year. Peter Farrelly has revealed that he and his brother Bobby Farrelly are set to once again team up with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, for their first ever sequel.
Farrelly explained to ComingSoon.net, "We're getting set to shoot Dumb and Dumber 2 in September. It's the first sequel we've ever done and we've got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back." Peter then admitted that none of the original Dumb and Dumber team were involved in the 2003 movie Dumb and Dumberer.
He added, "We did not do Dumb and Dumberer. That was a studio thing. So we've always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it.” Farrelly then revealed how Jim Carrey gave him a call.
Peter continued, “Jim was busy, but he called and said, 'We've got to do this thing again.' He had just watched Dumb and Dumber and he said, 'This is the perfect sequel. Let's do it.'" With shooting set to take place in September, we can expect the film to be out next year.
