Hollywood actor Jim Carrey has revealed how he is extremely proud of his daughter Jane Carrey for chasing her dreams with American Idol. Unfortunately for 24 year old Jane Carrey, those dreams came to an end, as she was sent home from the show on Wednesday night. However, Jim is convinced that Jane has the talent to succeed and believes that knock backs only make a person stronger.
Carrey explained, "I'm very proud of Jane. I believe in her talent as a singer and songwriter. Difficult moments are a necessary step along the path to success." Jane Carrey admitted that she knew she had not done enough to make it through, as she feels she let the occasion get the better of her and that she believes she can definitely do much better.
Jane added, "I freaked out when I was there and so I was really shaky. I know I can do way better than that so I'm really disappointed in myself... My dad said, 'I've been said no to a bunch of times' and it worked out well for him in the end, so hopefully I have a shot." You can catch American Idol every Wednesday and Thursday night on Fox.
