Back in 2004 Hollywood star Mel Gibson brought us the movie The Passion of the Christ, which sparked controversy around the world, with many people feeling that the movie was very anti-Semitic. We are not here to talk about those issues though, we are here to talk about the actor Jim Caviezel, who played the role of Jesus Christ in the movie, and what he has been up to since the movie landed.
Well it has been 10 years since The Passion of the Christ hit the big screen and Jim Caviezel has found himself a very busy man since then, racking up a number of movie roles, as well as doing the occasional piece of television work in between films.
Since starring as Jesus Christ in The Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel has gone on to star in movies such as Unknown, Deja Vu and Escape Plan, with plenty more in between. While his movie career has been busier than his television work, it is on the small screen that Jim Caviezel has found success.
Jim Caviezel appeared in the TV mini-series The Prisoner back in 2009, before going on to land his biggest TV role to date and, arguably one of the biggest jobs that he has had in his acting career. Jim plays the role of John Reese in the hit television series Person of Interest and has appeared in 60 episodes between 2011 and 2014, with the show currently in its third season.
As well as continuing in his role as John Reese in Person of Interest, Jim Caviezel will also be seen in the movie When the Game Stands Tall, which will open on August 22 in the US, before then hitting the big screen in the UK on November 21. Jim Caviezel is clearly enjoying a successful acting career and long may it continue.
