The Big Bang Theory became on of the top comedy television series with a very male dominated cast and only really Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny on the show, who was female. So, when it was revealed that two new female cast members were being brought in on a permanent basis, many were unsure how this would affect the show.
Melissa Rauch joined the cast as Bernadette, the girlfriend of Howard (Simon Helberg) and Mayim Bialik joined as the girlfriend of Sheldon (Jim Parsons). Fortunately for all involved, the two new women actually managed to improve the show and now, Jim Parsons has spoken out to praise Mayim Bialik.
Parsons told Watch, "I think what makes Mayim so good onscreen is the same stuff that makes her such a great person offscreen. In real life, Mayim manages to be so unique and yet just a ‘regular human’ at the same time. When she’s acting she makes original choices that you never would have thought of, but at the same time she radiates this very human quality – she empathizes with and struggles with the same everyday matters of the heart, self-doubt, etc., that we all do.
