It was reported earlier this week that The Flash was still very high on the list of DC comic book superheroes that Warner Bros. are looking to adapt for the big screen. Now it seems that The Flash has taken a new step closer to actually being made, by casting the titular character.

There has been talk of The Flash movie being made for years now and Adam Brody almost starred as The Flash in the Justice League movie, which collapsed back in 2008. Now it appears that an actor has finally been cast as The Flash and it will both excite and disappoint different fans.
The Flash is set to be played by The Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons, who has a fairly extensive knowledge of the superhero due to his Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper being a huge fan. It is a bold move by Warner Bros. to cast Jim Parsons and it is a big step for the actor.

It has been claimed that Jim Parsons will be put on a new diet and fitness regime to help to bulk him up enough to be convincing as The Flash. The movie is not expected to go into production until next year, so Jim will have plenty of time to sculpt himself into The Flash.
