JLS have been discussing how proud they are to be involved in this year’s Sport Relief, by releasing the official charity single aptly titled Proud. The boys have spent some of their time out in Uganda, where they admitted that they had mixed emotions about the experience, as the poverty was terrible but the improvements being made were great.
JB explained, "It was eye-opening in a good and bad way. You see so much abject poverty in a country with a lot of raw wealth. You see how just a few changes could make a huge difference for everyone. We saw some of the projects that Sport Relief have already set up, and the difference in the people was huge. It's very different just watching it on TV once a year."
Oritse then admitted that he hoped the single could raise a lot of money for Sport Relief. He added, "It was trending worldwide on Twitter, which was absolutely incredible. It shows the enormity of the cause. Hopefully it generates a lot of money for Sport Relief." You can purchase the JLS charity single Proud, which is released in aid of Sport Relief on March 16.
