Joan Cusack started her career doing a season in the ensemble cast of "Saturday Night Live" back in the 80's. This would be the highlight of any actor's career but, for Cusack it was just the beginning. She has perfected the art of scene stealing. In supporting roles for "Working Girl" with Melanie Griffith and ''In and Out" with actor Kevin Kline she overshadowed the leads. Cusack manages to convey all the qualities you want in a friend. She steals the show and does it in such a disarming way that such actors as Kevin Kline and Melanie Griffith happily step aside.
Currently, she is voice of "Jessie" for the fourth installment of "Toy Story 4". She is busy filming a comedy, horror movie called "Kitchen Sink". Which involves zombies and vampires a very good combination. "Welcome to Me" is a comedy about a woman with a borderline personality who wins the lottery. Only Cusack, the other Cusack that is can get away with making us laugh at a mental disorder. These films are slated to come out in 2014. If you can't wait for all these movies you can see Pixar's "Toy Story of Terror" in time for Halloween on the small screen.
Her latest projects seem to be the perfect showcase for this Cusack's talent. No matter what she plays she always delights. She manages to give a subtext to her characters that makes you instantly love her. Any movie with Joan Cusack you know that you are in for a good time. She has managed to quietly make a name for herself in a town obsessed with beauty.
Joan Cusack is never overshadowed by her co-stars. She shines so bright that all you see is her. She is a force of nature. The other Cusack has proven to be an amazing actress. Sorry John( actor John Cusack), I prefer Joan because let's face it she makes us laugh.
