It seems to be a common theme with British soap stars, that they feel that, due to their success in their particular soap, they have what it takes to make it in Hollywood. Over the years there have been dozens of British soap stars trying to make a name for themselves in the US, with varied success.
British actress Jodi Albert played the role of Debbie Dean in the British soap Hollyoaks, between 2002 and 2005, making the occasional guest appearance after that. Jodi is one of these people who decided to hea to the US and try and make a name for herself in Hollywood.
Jodi Albert appeared in the reality television series Californian Dreaming, before deciding to leave the series before its conclusion. That was about as far as her Hollywood dream got, with Jodi returning to the UK to try and get her acting career back on track.
Since then, Jodi Albert has appeared in Respectable, Casualty and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, as well as the British film Popcorn. In 2008, Jodi Albert became a member of the Irish-based girl group Wonderland, who were put together by Westlife's Kian Egan and manager Louis Walsh.
As for her personal life, Jodi Albert married Kian Egan on May 9, 2009 and the couple welcomed their first child together December 20, 2011. We look forward to seeing whether Jodi Albert makes an acting comeback once her baby has grown up some.
