Many of the female fans of True Blood will be happy to know that they are set to see plenty more of Joe Manganiello nude in the new season of True Blood and Joe has claimed that being naked in True Blood is anything but gratuitous. Joe, who plays the werewolf Alcide in the hit HBO vampire series, admitted that he is fine with the nudity, as it is all part of being a werewolf.
Manganiello explained, "As far as the butt cheeks stuff goes... it just makes sense. It's not gratuitous; it's realistic. If you're a werewolf and you transform, you lose everything and there are your butt cheeks. The show is a deconstruction of supernatural creatures. It's not like other werewolf projects, where you magically reappear with tiny jean shorts on".
True Blood has seen plenty of nudity in its four seasons and it seems that True Blood season five is set to be no different. You can catch Joe Manganiello nude, starring alongside series regulars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard, when True Blood season five premieres on HBO, which is currently expected to be on June 24, 2012.
