British actor John Boyega has been enjoying steady progress in Hollywood for the past couple of years, since announcing his arrival on the acting scene in the movie Attack the Block. Since then, John has gone on to be cast in some very interesting roles in some projects that are coming out over the course of the next year or so, but none bigger than his latest role.
Yesterday Disney announced the official cast for Star Wars: Episode VII and it included none other than John Boyega himself. This will no doubt be his biggest role to date and could lead to John becoming a huge Hollywood star in the near future. It will be interesting to see exactly what role John Boyega will play in Star Wars: Episode VII but we would love to see him as a Jedi Knight.
As well as starring John Boyega, the rest of the Star Wars: Episode VII cast includes Andy Serkis, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Max von Sydow, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, and Daisy Ridley. Star Wars: Episode VII is directed by J.J. Abrams and will open on December 18, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
Before we see John Boyega in Star Wars: Episode VII though, we will next see him in the role of Chris Tanner in the upcoming television series 24: Live Another Day, which will premiere on Fox on May 5. Meanwhile, John will also play the role of Titinius in the movie Caesar, which is expected to open later in the year.
Who are you most looking forward to seeing in Star Wars: Episode VII?
