John Cho expects Star Trek 2 to be amazing

Star Trek actor John Cho has revealed how he expects the sequel to the hit 2009 movie to be amazing. John claims that Star Trek 2, which is titled Star Trek Into Darkness, felt so easy to get into that he believes that it will truly be something special.

Cho explained to IGN, “It was weird. It was embarrassingly familiar! We immediately started up with the same jokes that we run into ground. But that’s the kind of experience that’s so unique. The people you go on that journey with, you’re bonded with forever. It’s very special to come back to something like that.”

He added, “I think we got closer than we did on the first one even because we had that thing going. It was a lot of fun. I think the second one may be magnificent, baby. You can quote me on that. I think it may be amazing.”

John continued, “I think this movie is different from the first one in that we can get started on the story right away. It feels to me - having read it and having done it - like a more expansive story because we can devote more screen time to it [as opposed to setting up the origins]".

Star Trek Into Darkness is set to be released on May 17 in both the US and the UK.
