Johnny Depp hasn't let the criticism of his portrayal of Tonto in the recent Disney film The Lone Ranger get him down. In fact, he recently told Us Magazine that he believed the critics wrote the reviews long before film was even released:
"I think the reviews were probably written when they heard that Gore and Jerry and I were going to do The Lone Ranger."
Now the actor is getting ready for his next big role as The Wolf in Disney's upcoming movie Into the Woods. The story revolves around a witch (played by Meryl Streep) who conspires to teach fairytale characters from stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Jack and the Beanstalk important lessons. Filming begins next month, and Disney has recently announced that they are looking for actors in the Dover or Canterbury area to fill some gaps.
Such requirement are quoted as "Requirements for male candidates: between 16-90 years old, and between 5'6 and 6'2 tall. Requirements for ladies: between 16-90 years old, and wear a dress size between 2 and 14."
Filming is set for September 25 & 26, so you'll want to apply as soon as possible if you're available. You can apply online by registering with JobShop at www.canterbury.ac.uk/jobshop
Disney's Into the Woods is scheduled to release sometime next year, and will also star Anna Kendrick as Cinderella and Star Trek's Christopher Pines as her Prince Charming.
