Following the huge success of the 2007 movie Superbad, all eyes were suddenly on the young and talented actors that were in the leading roles of the movie. All three had already been beginning to make a name for themselves in Hollywood and Superbad boosted their careers in a big way. While many expected Michael Cera to go on and become a huge Hollywood star, it has actually been Jonah Hill who has impressed the most.
Over the past few years we have seen Jonah Hill grow into a truly accomplished actor, proving that he has what it takes to mix it with some of the biggest and best stars that Hollywood has to offer. It was no surprise then, when in 2012 it was announced that Jonah Hill was one of the nominees for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role Oscar at the Academy Awards for his performance in the movie Moneyball.
Since then, Jonah Hill has continued to work hard, putting in some impressive performances along the way, with a fantastic turn in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street, which has earned him his second Best Actor in a Supporting Role nomination. While Jonah Hill is not the favourite to win the award, it still goes to show that he has become a great actor to have in a supporting role in a movie.
The Best Actor in a Supporting Role Oscar will see Jonah Hill going up against Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave), and Bradley Cooper (American Hustle). Who do you think will win?
The 86th Academy Awards is this Sunday, March 2.
