Superbad actor Jonah Hill has revealed how he is still in shock following the announcement of the 2012 Oscar nominations. Jonah has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance in Moneyball and Jonah has admitted that the nomination has made him feel very humble and extremely honoured.
Hill explained, "I am so humbled, appreciative and in shock about this incredible honour.” He continued by listing who he would like to thank, much like an acceptance speech. Jonah added, "I'd like to thank the Academy, Sony Pictures, the cast and crew of Moneyball, Brad Pitt, and, most of all, our brilliant director Bennett Miller."
28 year old Jonah Hill has received a whole host of different award nominations for his performance in Moneyball, including Golden Globe, BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild recognition. Jonah’s Moneyball co star Brad Pitt has also been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Actor category. Moneyball is currently available on Blu-ray and DVD in the US and is released on March 19, 2012 in the UK. Meanwhile, Jonah Hill can currently be seen on the big screen in the movie The Sitter.
