There was a rather mixed reaction to the recent news that Charlie Hunnam had decided to quit the role of Christian Grey for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. While many did not particular want him in the first place, they were beginning to warm to the idea, although now he has quit, everybody can begin calling for their favourite again.
So, it is back to where we were, with the same old names being thrown out as before and the likes of Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill and Ian Somerhalder all being classed as the "favourites" for the role. This time around though, Ryan Gosling's name has been heavily featured, although that does seem highly unlikely.
If we have learnt anything from the casting of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, it is that they do not really care who the fans are calling for and are more likely to go for somebody else, who has hardly been mentioned. That is why we have a feeling that Jonathan Rhys Meyers could be cast as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers certainly has the acting talent to carry such a huge role, as well as being able to charm and seduce the audience with his performance. With filming on Dracula about finished, Jonathan will have space in his schedule, and with production set to begin at the start of November, Jonathan Rhys Meyers could just be perfect for the role of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey.
Who would you like to see replacing Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey for the Fifty Shades of Grey film?
