There was a rumour spreading around the internet recently that The Dark Knight Rises actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt was being lined up to play Batman in the Justice League movie. However, it appears that the rumours are completely false and Joseph will not be playing Batman after all.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt starred in Christopher Nolan’s movie The Dark Knight Rises as John Blake and appeared to be sidekick Robin. This led to people suggesting that there could be a Robin spin-off movie in the future, which Joseph previously admitted he could be tempted to do.
Then, it was claimed that there would be a few characters from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy appearing in the Justice League movie. Suddenly people began talking and word soon spread that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would take over as Batman.

Now, Hollywood.com have confirmed that they have been in touch with the representatives of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. They explained, “checked in with Gordon-Levitt's reps who have refuted the rumor entirely.” So there you have it, we are still searching for the new Batman.
