50/50 actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is about to take his first steps into the world of feature film directing. Joseph has been acting for as long as most of us can remember and it seems that he is set to give acting a back seat, as he moves into directing. However, for his directorial debut, he will be performing in front of the camera, as well as behind it.
Gordon-Levitt explained, "I was a child actor for years and quit at 19, went to school awhile, and a big part of why I came back was that I ultimately wanted to make movies. I spent a year working with Chris Nolan, Rian Johnson, Steven Spielberg, and I did my best to pay attention. I've also been making short films for a long time now, I've directed a ton of them, and that is a huge part of why I feel comfortable and confident in this."
The Joseph Gordon-Levitt directed project has yet to be given a title but what is known is that it will be a comedy movie and it will also star Scarlett Johansson. Shooting for the currently untitled Joseph Gordon-Levitt movie is expected to begin in April. You can next see Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the big screen, when he appears in The Dark Knight Rises, which is released on July 20.
