It has been rumored for many months now that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be making a cameo in ‘Man of Steel’ as the Caped Crusader himself. After ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, rumors have been rampant that Joseph would be the heir to Christian Bale’s Batman, and his appearance in ‘Man of Steel’ would serve as a set-up for Warner Brother’s planned Justice League movie.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be appearing in Sin City 2
However, while he was at Sundance, Joseph spoke to MTV and denied the claims, saying, “I hadn’t heard this. Wow. It just goes to show how much you can believe rumors. I don’t think you should believe any of them. If there’s something I’m going to be in, I’m going to tell you. Dude, I put it on my twitter that I was in Sin City 2 before [anybody else announced it online]. Trust me, I’ll tell you.”
He also talks about his recently announced appearance in Sin City 2, saying, “‘Sin City 2’ is going to be fun man. [My character] is a quintessential Rodriguez bad-ass. It’s going to be fun as hell.” He adds that his character will be very different to what he looks like now, mentioning that the special effects and CG that go into Sin City are beyond comparison in the film world.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt won't be in 'Man of Steel'
Joseph is currently at Sundance promoting his film ‘Don Jon’s Addiction’, the film he wrote, directed, and starred in.
