There seems to be a bit of a trend coming to television screens these days, with people trying to squeeze as much as they can out of their hit shows, by bringing us spinoff shows based on the hit series. We have already seen plenty of spinoff shows coming from successful television series and there are going to be plenty more made in the coming years.
Following the huge success of the hit The CW vampire series The Vampire Diaries, it was announced that there would be a spinoff series made based on the show, which would be titled The Originals, which aired its first season last year. The Originals proved to be a bit of a hit with the fans and a second season of the show was confirmed, with the season two premiere airing this Fall.
The Originals season one saw Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) become close when it was revealed that Hayley was pregnant and fans are hoping to see a romance blossom between the two in The Originals season two. Joseph has now opened up about The Originals season two and the possibility of a romance between Klaus and Hayley.
Morgan was chatting to the guys over at Clevver News, when he explained to them, "For me there's more of a sort of brother sister-potential with those characters, I don't see it becoming a romantic interest necessarily for him."
The Originals season two will premiere on The CW on Monday, October 6 at 8pm ET/PT.
