Things have been very quiet for Josh Hartnett of late and it is not all that surprising when you consider some of the awful movies he has been in lately. Now it appears that Josh has been taking meetings with agencies, after leaving CAA and going in search of new representation.

You could compare Josh Hartnett’s life to that of the fictional Entourage character Vincent Chase. Both guys were set to become huge superstars but ended up turning down big money roles (Josh rejected the role of Superman in early 2000s, which would have earned him $100m for three movies) in favour of smaller indie movies, before falling off the Hollywood radar. It is only a matter of time before we see if Josh gets a lucky break like Vinnie did in Entourage.
Josh Hartnett is a guy who is a capable actor. He has proved that in a handful of movies but has also come across fairly wooden and emotionless in others. His lack of consistency is what has movie fans split on the actor and possibly why people are reluctant to take a risk on him.

However, with the right movie role, the right director and a committed performance, Josh Hartnett could get himself back into the big time. It is just a case of picking his movies wisely and not being afraid to be defined by a big budget superhero movie. Surely that has to be better than being defined as a failure?
Do you think Josh Hartnett has what it takes to get back into the Hollywood big time?
