Despite the fact that we still have two more movies yet to be released of The Hunger Games franchise, those final two movies were filmed back to back and it has been confirmed that shooting for the movie has now completed. While the stars of The Hunger Games franchise will be glad to get a break from the grueling schedule, it seems that they are also sad to say goodbye to the franchise.
Hollywood actor Josh Hutcherson plays the role of Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games movie and he has been talking about finishing filming and leaving the movie franchise behind him. Josh says that he finds it sad to wake up in the mornings and remember that he will no longer be filming The Hunger Games movies.
Hutcherson explained, "I miss it so much. It pains me every day a little bit when I wake up, that we're not filming anymore," he said, before then going on to talk about the wrap party, adding, "It was honestly hard to say it was a celebration because we were all so sad that it was coming to an end. We had a little wrap party the night we finished. It was so great to see everyone there letting loose, but it was more sad. I don’t want to be melancholy, but we weren't ready for it to be finished yet."
You can catch Josh Hutcherson in the role of Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, which will open on November 21 in both the US and the UK. That will then be followed by the final movie in the franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, which will hit the big screen on November 20, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
