Joshua Jackson revealed in a new interview on a Canadian talk show (with George Stroumboulopoulos) that Katie Holmes recently called him to catch up. Both Jackson and Homes are childhood friends and acted together on the long running TV show ‘Dawson’s Creek’.
It seems that on the heel of Holmes’ divorce with Tom Cruise, she has been reconnecting with old friends and people she hasn’t been in touch with for a while.
Jackson talks about what they spoke about, saying, “"Like any old friend, it was like, 'Oh, hi how are ya? What's going on?'; 'I had a kid.”
The chat was "nice," Jackson said. "It was very nice, actually."
Jackson has been dating Diane Kruger since 2006, and both he and Holmes (along with Michelle Williams and the other Dawson’s Creek cast members) are rumored to be attached to an upcoming Dawson’s Creek film adaption, but there is no word yet on whether that’s going forward or not.
US weekly is reporting that a source has told them, “"[Producers] were begging her to sign on for a reunion movie. Tom said absolutely no way and thought going backward would be bad." To the contrary, Holmes "didn't care how 'low-brow' he [thought] Dawson's Creek is," the source explained. "She wanted to do the movie and reconnect with her fans. And have fun."
