Avengers director Joss Whedon has spoken out about how he does not want the directors of the individual Marvel movies to develop a disliking to him. Joss realises that he has the power to step in and alter certain points of the movies but does not wish to become “that guy”.
Whedon explained, “Very talented people are writing and directing these movies, and what I don't want to be is the guy they dread, who's going to come in and say 'Oh, well I have the power to say change this'. I'm not that.” Joss then went on to offer a few hints on what The Avengers 2 might be about.

He added, “The creation of the team is not the happy ending, it is the beginning of something more complex and difficult, and now I get to dig a little deeper. And maybe, while I'm digging, just twist the knife - and that excites me.”
We still have some time to wait before we get to cast our ever expectant eyes over the Avengers sequel but between now and then, we will be treated to four more Marvel movies. The Avengers 2 is currently expected to be released in both the US and the UK on May 1, 2015.
