The Sherlock Holmes movies have been such big hits that there was always going to be talk of a third instalment being made and that talk appears to be picking up speed. Jude Law, who plays Watson in the Sherlock Holmes movies, has admitted that everyone involved would love to return for a third movie.
Law explained to Collider, “No I don’t yet. I mean there’s certainly talk of it and I know there’s a script being played around with, but Downey’s a busy boy and I’m a busy boy so we’ll see. But we want to. We’re a very happy team and we have a lot of fun and we also think there’s still a lot of legs in the duo.”
It is unsure when the cast of Sherlock Holmes will be able to get their schedules aligned, as they all appear to be very busy at the moment. Robert Downey Jr. is currently in the process of filming Iron Man 3 and is also signed on for The Avengers 2, while Jude Law has at least three movies due out over the next year.
With that said, it appears that we could be waiting for some years to cast our eyes over Sherlock Holmes 3 but let’s hope that it does eventually happen.
