The new Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin) movie Jane Got a Gun was putting together a very impressive cast and, when it was revealed that Jude Law was joining, that impressive cast was only getting better. Unfortunately, we then learnt that, while Jude Law was joining tha cast of Jane Got a Gun, Michael Fassbender would also be departing.
Michael Fassbender departs the project
We then assumed that it would be a straight swap and that Jude Law would be replacing Michael Fassbender as the hero of the movie. However, it seems that there has now been some reshuffling going on. Jude Law will play the villain in Jane Got a Gun, the role that was initially being played by Joel Edgerton.
As for Joel, he will now take the place of Michael Fassbender as the hero in Jane Got a Gun. The reason that Michael has had to exit the project, is because he is already contracted to X-Men: Days of Future Past and there is a scheduling conflict between the two movies.

Jane Got a Gun is set to be a Western, which will centre on Jane Hammond (Natalie Portman), who turns to her ex boyfriend (Joel Edgerton) to help her when a violent gang target her outlaw husband (Jude Law).
