Jude Law has revealed the reasons behind his decision to return to the role of Dr. John Watson in the Sherlock Holmes sequel, Sherlock Holmes: A Book of Shadows. Jude admitted that he had so much fun making the first movie that he was always going to be open to a sequel.

Law explained that it would also be down to people wanting more. He said, “We said, if I remember rightly, on the last one, that we had so much fun and if everybody else did too, that if they wanted us to do more, then we would. It turns out that they wanted us to do more.”
Sherlock Holmes: A Book of Shadows will also see Robert Downey Jr reprising his role as the titular character and Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler. This time they will be facing their fiercest adversary Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris. Sherlock Holmes: A Book of Shadows is set to be released on December 16.
