There has been a lot of mixed feelings about the hit television series Devious Maids, with many people feeling that it portrays Latina women in a negative light, while others feel that the show hits the mark spot on. Whether or not you are a fan of the show, clearly those in charge at Lifetime were impressed by the first season, as Devious Maids was renewed for a second season.
For those of you who are not familiar with Devious Maids, the show centres around four Latina women, who are working as house maids for some of the rich and famous people living in Beverly Hills. However, these maids are not exactly satisfied in their jobs and have dreams, aspirations and ambitions of their own.
Hollywood star Eva Longoria is an executive producer of Devious Maids and has been very vocal in her defence of the series. Eva will also direct an episode of Devious Maids season two, which will be her television directorial debut and will in fact act as the season premiere.
Devious Maids has a fairly impressive cast which includes the likes of Judy Reyes, Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, Rebecca Wisocky, Tom Irwin, Mariana Klaveno, Grant Show and Susan Lucci. The Devious Maids season two premiere will air on Lifetime on Sunday April 20 at 10pm ET/PT, with the series continuing to air on Lifetime on Sunday evenings.
