Well it seems that the original trio of Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will all be returning for the Star Wars: Episode VII movie, which is said to focus on their children. This means there is a strong possibility that Mara Jade Skywalker could appear. But who will play her?

Julianne Moore has been linked to Mara Jade Skywalker
A few names have been mentioned so far and, while some have been younger stars such as Summer Glau, it is fair to assume that an older actress will be needed. That has led to some corners of the Star Wars fan world suggesting Julianne Moore. Julianne is a very accomplished actress, who can easily pull of the necessary physicality required to play Mara Jade Skywalker. However, some Star Wars fans have dismissed Julianne Moore's participation.
Christina Hendricks is one of the younger stars who have been linked to the role, so if an older actress is needed, she is almost certainly a no. Although, if a younger Mara Jade Skywalker is in Star Wars: Episode VII, then Christina Hendricks may well fit the bill. She already has an ever-growing fan base, so would be able to draw a newer audience to the franchise, which can only be a good thing.

Jodie Foster is another name being mentioned
Two time Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster is no stranger to playing the tough girl character and would have no problem convincing audiences with the expected fight scenes. Jodie is also around the ideal age for the role and would add that extra bit of star power to the cast. Again though, there is no pleasing everyone, and a number of Star Wars fans have ruled out Jodie Foster.
