Fans around the World gave a groan of disappointment, after it was announced that the Will Beall screenplay for the Justice League movie was not up to standards and was, in fact, so bad, that a whole rewrite of the script is going to have to take place.

This has led to many rumours that DC could now follow what Marvel did with The Avengers and put out some more stand alone movies before pushing ahead with a Justice League film. DC already have a Superman movie coming out, with the release of Man of Steel, which could also determine the future of the Justice League.
It is now claimed that DC could decide to move forward with the Batman reboot and introduce the new Batman to comic book fans, before he joins up with Superman and the rest of the gang in the Justice League movie. DC could also release stand alone movies for The Flash and Wonder Woman before the Justice League film.
The Avengers characters
These are currently just rumours going around the internet but it could make perfect sense to gauge how much of an interest there would be in each character, before committing to putting them in the Justice League movie. Or they could even take Paul Dini's Justice League ideas on board in a bid to make it work.
