Teenage singing sensation Justin Bieber came in for some criticism recently, after he gave away his hamster PAC to a screaming fan. It was claimed that the intensity of the situation would have a detrimental effect to the hamsters health but it appears that he is doing just fine.

PAC’s new owner Victoria Blair tells Celebuzz, “I worship that little hamster - I love him. He's fine. He sleeps during the day and plays at night - he's acting like a normal hamster. I bought him a ball and he runs around. He stays right beside my bed. He'll wake me up and roll around. The next big thing I'm going to get is a hamster playground.”
Now, the California Hamster Association, who had previously criticised Justin Bieber for the way in which he gave his hamster away, have now back tracked a little and stated that they are pleased to see PAC doing well, although they would not encourage anybody to repeat what Justin did.

A spokesperson for CHA explained, “We have no ill will toward Mr Bieber. Our understanding is that owing to the way [Blair] received the hamster and from whom, the recipient is apparently doing her best to do right by the animal, and for that I suppose we could actually thank Mr Bieber. But... in most cases the situation would almost certainly turn tragic.”
