Singer turned actor Justin Timberlake has confirmed that some of his favourite movies as a kid inspired him to take his latest role, in the Andrew Niccol movie In Time. Justin admitted that he was a fan of the idea of a normal guy experiencing extraordinary things.
Timberlake explained, "My favourite action movies as a kid were First Blood, The Fugitive, Die Hard, but what I loved about all of those were they were everyday men doing extraordinary things.” He also added that director Niccol used this as his basis to convince him on the role.
Justin added, "That's how he sold me on this guy. I am scared s**tless of putting on the tights of a character that already exists, but it seemed cool to me to have this character, and this thriller of this ordinary guy trying to stay alive." Justin Timberlake can next be seen on the big screen in Friends With Benefits, which is already out in the US and is released in the UK on September 9.
