It’s been a rough week for Justin Timberlake, first he had to deny pictures that Mila Kunis had on her phone was not his penis and now the movie his starring in with Amanda Seyfield is undergoing legal action to prevent its release.
The award winning novelist Harlan Ellison, is suing the creators of the new science fiction movie In Time, to prevent its release claiming that it steals from a short story he wrte which was published in 1965.
Harlem Ellison claims both works are based on the premise of a "dystopian corporate future in which everyone is allotted a specific amount of time to live". Ellison went onto list several other concepts within the new movie, saying how it had completely plagiarized his published work and he wants it prevented from release.
As big a blow as it is to Justin Timberlake, Andrew Niccol will see it as a biggr one to him as its his first movie in over six years as he has been on a hiatus. The most perplexing element of all is perhaps the fact Harlan Ellison hasn’t seen the movie but is merely going on reviews from critics who see advanced screening, who all claim its based loosely on his published works.
