Justin Timberlake may have been away from the music scene for quite some time, as he made a name for himself as a Hollywood actor, but that does not mean that he has forgotten what it is all about. Justin is currently working on his new album, titled The 20/20 Experience and Justin says that there will be some long tracks on it, similar to those of Pink Floyd, Queen and Led Zeppelin.
Timberlake said to Capital FM, "When we were making the record I said, 'If Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin can do 10-minute songs and Queen can do 10-minute songs then why can't we?' We'll figure out the radio edits later. Music is for dreamers. You should be able to create another world that you can live in."
He added, "I'm not gonna speak for Bob Dylan - he's one of my idols - but from my perspective, as a fan, it seems to me that he started creating music that made him feel like another person and that's what it should do. [The studio] really is one place that you can still go to that you can be completely free. You can lock yourself in a room and make a whole other world."
Justin Timberlake recently confirmed that his tour with Jay-Z will be a complete collaborative experience and that they will share the stage together for the majority of it. He also had words of praise for British boyband One Direction, who he says he can relate to, as he was once in their position.
Justin Timberlake's new album The 20/20 Experience is set to be released on March 18.
