Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal is a star in Tamil and Telugu films but the ambitious actress is not satisfied as she is demonstrating that she has her eyes set on becoming a star in Bollywood. The talented actress has agreed to be part of the new Hindi film "Ceasefire" opposite Sharman Joshi of "3 Idiots" fame which will be directed by Ajoy Verman. The film is a romantic comedy, a remake of an Iranian film that was a major commercial hit.
Her Bollywood career began with her playing a limited role in the film "Kyun! Ho Gaya Na" in 2004 but the film did not make her a star and as a result she moved into the South Indian film industry where her rise as an Indian film star began.
She became known for her acting performance and beautiful looks in films such as "Chandamamma" and the 2009 film "Magadheera" which earned her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Telugu actress.
She became established as as a Tamil star with her 2012 film "Thuppakki" and along the way her Bollywood projects started enjoying success both at the box office and also critically.
Her two Bollywood movies, the 2011 box office success "Singham" and the 2013 movie "Special 26" brought her critical acclaim and were very successful at the box office. In both of these movies she was a supporting cast member but now with her movie "Ceasefire" she will taking the next step in her Bollywood career as a leading lady while still acting in Telugu and Tamil films.
In addition to filming "Ceasefire" which will expand her Bollywood presence considerably she will be starring in the Kollywood film "Danush" and Jayam Ravi's untitled movie as well as the Telugu film "Govindudu Andarivadele" starring Ram Charan Teja.
