"Negotiations for Kaka have broken down" - said AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani. Reports are saying the deal didn't materialize mainly because of financial reasons. Kaka was willing to take a huge pay-cut from his €9m per year Real Madrid deal but negotiations ended as both clubs couldn't reach a agreement on a loan deal fee.
"The negotiations for Kaka have broken down," Galliani told reporters this morning. "It's not possible to complete the deal for fiscal reasons."
"We had agreed on everything else, but the deal broke down about an hour ago."
During his time in Milan, Kaka has managed to win only one scudetto and one Champions League title.
Asked if the club is going to acquire such players as David Beckham and Mario Balotelli, who have been linked with the club in the past few weeks, Galliani answered fairly direct by saying: "None of them."
What's next for Kaka nobody knows. Since being out of favor with Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho he has been linked with many clubs but his huge contract is proving be a obstacle for every club who is interested in his services.
The transfer deadline ends on February 2nd.
