The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco, who plays the role of Penny in the hit CBS comedy series, is a celebrity who always speaks out for what she believes in and tries to use her celebrity status to help these causes. Kaley has often spoken out against animal cruelty and she is at it again.
Kaley has spoken out against animal cruelty, this time claiming that the horse-drawn carriages in New York City are cruel to the horses and need to stop. Cuoco took to her official Twitter account to say, "Love everything about NYC but the horse-drawn carriages. It’s dangerous and cruel. Aren’t we beyond this ridiculous tourist attraction?"
Kaley Cuoco is not the only celebrity who feels that it is time that the horse-drawn carriage in New York City was stopped, as a number of stars have voiced their concerns. Among some of the top stars against horse drawn carriages are Lea Michele, Pamela Anderson, Kristin Chenoweth, Adrien Brody and Anjelica Huston, plus many more.
NYCLASS, who are a non-profit organization that campaign for all horse-drawn carriages to be replaced with horseless ones, are encouraging people to contact city council members, sign their petition and report accidents and cruelty to carriage horses.
