Kareena Kapoor is on the cover of the November 19 issue of Filmfare magazine wearing a bold blue dress with sheer arms patterned with black stripes. She looks strong, relaxed and sensual in the photo and it leads to conversation about her upcoming projects.
It is no secret that recently she had become more renowned for turning down projects than accepting but her appearance on the cover of the magazine coincides with the announcement that the attractive Bollywood actress has signed on for Anand L Rai's next film, a light-hearted women centric comedy that focuses on her role as a small town girl.
Her choosing this role is signficant because prior to accepting the role she had reportedly turned down not one, not two but nine jobs. (DNA - November 12) and she has made it clear by her actions that she is going to be very selective in the roles she takes on and one of the criteria is that her role must be very 'meaty and substantial'. Does Kareena Kapoor have her eyes focused on showing that she has the dramatic range to be part of a Bollywood/Hollywood project as the rumours accompanying the likelihood of these projects for the top Bollywood actors is starting to grow.
Hollywood producers who work in collaboration with Bollywood producers will want actors who are not just 'name' and gorgeous looks but also show dramatic acting range and how best to show this then by making sure the parts one takes on show her complete 'acting ability.
Kareena Kapoor received much acclaim for "Singham Returns" and is currently filming "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". Now she takes on the role of a comedy in Anand L Rai's next film. A diverse group of movies and each which has her playing a substantial role in addition to her sensual strong pose on the front of Filmfare magazine.
It seems like Kareena Kapoor is preparing to make a 'big' move in the future and it would not surprise me in the least if she were to be announced as the star of a Bollywood/Hollywood collaboration that shocked the Bollywood entertainment industry. Look at her moves and ask yourself why all of a sudden would this actress who rejected nine movies in a row now start acting in these particular projects? I think she has something big planned for her future and for one of the Queens of Bollywood, maybe she might be thinking of becoming part of Hollywood as well?
