Underworld actress Kate Beckinsale has revealed that she finds it quite difficult to do car chases and fight scenes, as action roles are out of her comfort zone. Kate has become famous for playing the vampire Selene in the Underworld movies but it appears that she was not as comfortable making the film as she looks on screen.
Beckinsale explained, "I still find it an incredible novelty that I'm allowed to do that. My mother still laughs at the thought of me running around based on my success in PE as a child, which was very poor! It's fantasy.”
She added, “My comfort zone is probably more in the independent sphere, but there's something very fascinating about doing this movie and then six or seven months later when you actually see it with the special effects and all that, it looks very different than what it felt like when you were doing it."
Kate Beckinsale is set to appear in another action movie later this year, when she stars alongside Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel in the remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Total Recall. The movie is set to be released in the US on August 3 and the UK on August 22.
