British actress Kate Beckinsale has revealed how she did not intend to take a sabbatical from the movie business but that she really could not see anything to get her back into work so soon. Kate spent much of her hiatus working on some much smaller projects and spending a lot more time with her daughter Lily.
Beckinsale explained, "I didn't plan on a sabbatical, there just wasn't anything I was dying to do and I have to really make the decision - is it worth me being away from my kid?" Kate then discussed her reasoning for keeping away from the likes of Twitter and Facebook. She added, "I'd like to be able to reserve the right to complain about people bothering me in my private life."
Kate Beckinsale has previously admitted that she found the Underworld movie franchise to be something of a personal project, as she did not want to become typecast and saw an action role as a way out of that problem. Kate Beckinsale will appear alongside Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel, in the Total Recall remake, which is set to be released on August 3, 2012.
