Thirteen episodes of the ABC television series "Mixology" have changed the perception of Kate Simses from that of a good actress to one of the 'hot' available actresses in the entertainment industry. However, entertainment insiders are not abuzz about her because of her model looks and her social status which unfortunately for those men who find her irresistible is 'taken and engaged'.
Entertainment insiders are taken by her exceptional comedic dramatic range as she is able to show the multiple dimensions of her character and is able to connect with viewers despite playing a character, 'Liv', whose conduct is anything but acceptable. The character cannot seem to stop cheating on her fiance but she is able to show aspects of her personality that have viewers thinking that the motivation for her actions is more about a willingness to investigate her own desires about life and less about the concept of cheating on her partner.
Through a television comedy she is able to create discussions about why a woman would act in a certain manner and have viewers connect with her and how she relates to not only her fiance and the situations she finds herself in but also her relationship with her on-screen girlfriend 'Maya' and how she allows her to influence her decisions.
Kate Simses has moved from being almost an unknown 'supporting' actress to an actress whom filmmakers are talking about as someone who can add value and substance to their projects.
The show "Mixology" was recently announced as not being renewed for another season by ABC but for Kate Simses the show will likely always be remembered as the project that proved to filmmakers and entertainment insiders that she is an actress of superior comedic dramatic range who can 'carry' a show and has the ability to be a leading lady on both the small and big screens in the entertainment industry.
