Supermodel turned actress Kate Upton is currently regarded as one of the biggest models on the face of the Earth and, while her fanbase is ever-increasing with more and more people jumping on the Kate Upton bandwagon, there are some that are not exactly a fan of the beauty. One such person, who is not Kate Upton's biggest fan, is Carol Alt.
Former model Carol Alt, who is now 53 years old but still looks great, has spoken out about the Kate Upton appeal, admitting that she does not see what all the fuss is about. Carol said that, while she can accept that Kate Upton is pretty, she does not feel that she is any more special than any other model that has been in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Alt stated, "What I don't understand with Kate is what's all the hullaballoo. There are many covers of Sports Illustrated - one girl was just wearing a bottom, no top. I don't get what all the hullabaloo is. I think what it is is that in this moment there's just so much social media and that's why she's had more word of mouth than anybody. I like Kate, she's a pretty girl. But all the girls are nice, and all the girls are pretty. Every cover, to me, deserves to be talked about."
Kate Upton rose to fame with her appearance in the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, before then going on to global stardom by landing the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2012 cover and repeating the feat in 2013. This year saw Kate Upton miss out on the cover, although she did get the back of the magazine. Meanwhile, Carol Alt was on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover back in 1982.
