Kate Upton has once again landed the Sports Illustrated Cover ‘Swimsuit Edition’, making it two years in a row that she’s had that honor. Last year, there was a lot of negative and positive feedback on Kate’s cover, with some people saying that she was too ‘curvy’ to be on the cover of SI’s annual Swimsuit cover, and others saying that she was setting a good body example for young girls.
Kate has been taking the fashion world by storm, and has already landed her first UK Vogue cover as well as other high fashion modeling gigs and campaigns. Despite her body not being the usual body type that fits ‘normal’ modeling standards, the industry truly does seem to be embracing her and trying to change their usual method of using stick-thin models for their campaigns.
In this cover, the title underneath the picture says ‘Kate Upton goes Polar’, and shows Kate dressed in nothing but a stringy thong and a huge parka overcoat.
Although the shoot took place a couple of months ago in a ‘secret’ Antarctic shoot, Kate previously admitted that to the Cut last week that she finds out about who the cover star is on David Letterman like the rest of the world.
