Kate Upton is featured in the new Mercedes-Benz ad for the Mercedes CLA, but though the ad promises that you’ll see plenty of Kate in action, you don’t actually see much of her at all. Instead, most of the shots linger on the car with soap suds across it, and then Kate with a sponge in her hand. Hot? Not so much.

The ad says at the beginning, ‘Kate Upton washes the new Mercedes CLA in slow motion’, she is not actually seen washing the car. Although Kate is definitely one of the hottest models around, even she can’t make this ad more interesting.
Fan reactions ranged from uninterested to angry and disgusted. One viewer mentioned, “This ad is the worst.. would have been better if she was one washing it then yes i would have bought that CLA. but now...nope.” Another viewer was even more disgusted, adding, “This is the worst car ad I've ever seen in my entire life. I would expect such a vulgar and tatty commercial from any other car company except from Mercedes.”

All in all, this was a miss for the famous German brand; Mercedes has always been one of the classiest car brands out there, but their image will take a serious hit with this video. Those who find it the brand upscale will be bristling at the brand’s attempt to ‘sex’ up their image, and those who wanted to see Kate Upton will be angry that she’s barely used in the ad.
