English actress Kate Winslet has revealed how she was petrified at the thought of seeing herself back on the big screen in the 1997 Titanic. Kate admitted that she believed that her acting back then was not at the level it is now and was also shocked at how young and skinny Leonardo DiCaprio was.
Winslet explained, "I was literally like, 'Oh my god, make it stop! Is that me? Oh my god, that's me. Block my ears, somebody! Somebody club out my senses. Make it stop! And Leo looks so young and so skinny! I'm sure I wasn't really a very good actress. Seriously, we are talking about something that happened 15 years ago. It is a very long time ago. I've learned so much, and I've changed as a person so much since then. It is really quite weird."
Kate also admitted that her children, 11 year old Mia and 8 year old Joe are not exactly all that interested in the fact that their mother is a Hollywood movie star. She added, "They're actually really not interested. But they are intrigued, I think, would be fair to say." Kate Winslet is set to star in the Kenneth Branagh movie The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which is released next year.
