Kate Winslet provided a couple 'shocks' to the eyes of some of her fans and entertainment insiders with her revelations that she wanted to play the villain role in 'Insurgent' as she has never had the opportunity to play such a role. As if her acting disclosure was not enough of a surprise she also revealed that she plans to spend her entire 40th birthday wearing a bikini because 'she can', a statement that likely has many of her male and female admirers scheduling a reminder on their mobile phones to check for photos of the actress on October 5, her birthday.
In a recent interview with Time Magazine she revealed that playing a villain for the first time was thrilling and as an actor was incredibly interesting as it provided her so many avenues from which she be various versions of nasty and basically explore and find the different dimensions of the character.
Her desire to play a 'villain', a new role gives fans some understanding into how the elite actors think and work. Often the moment a great actor becomes established as a star they seek new challenges instead of getting comfortable they prefer being uncomfortable and Kate Winslet is an example of this superstar actor mindset as she could have played a 'safer', nicer character but playing it 'safe' is not part of her DNA.
This 'not safe' mentality is also displayed in her upcoming 40th birthday plans in which she plans to spend the entire day in a bikini. She made the revelation while on ITV's 'Lorraine' show as she spoke with Ross King, a disclosure that made many of her admirers, in particular her male fans smile about the confidence she has in her gorgeous body.
Confidence and the 'never ending pursuit of new challenges' are incredibly sexy characteristics an actor can have and one actress who has an abundance of both traits is Kate Winslett which is likely part of the reason she is such a popular actress with both her female and male admirers and even as a villain is attractive to viewers.
