When talking about her career, she says, “I'm selfish right now, but that's how and where I should be. The thing is, work is the thing I love the most." She also speaks about Smash, which she’s currently working on the second season, and talks about the part ‘fitting her like a glove’ after she auditioned.
She also admits that she admires Kate Bosworth and Kate Moss, saying that Bosworth is, “feminine but has an edge she always looks good even when caught on the street” and Moss, “just nails it on a daily basis...plus she does it under the pressure of knowing she'll be photographed pretty much every time she leaves her house."

She talks about how she’s very much into fashion, but doesn’t have time for it with all of the singing and vocal practices she has to do for ‘Smash’. However, she does talk about her own fashion, specifically her shoe wear. She admits that she can’t wear heels in LA, but gets to do it New York, saying, “In LA no one wears heels because they drive, but here in New York I get to wear heels. It's great!"
