British funny woman Kathy Burke appeared in the hit UK comedy sketch show Harry Enfield and Chums and since the show ended back in 1997, Kathy has gone on to bigger and better things. Not only has her television career been huge but she has also appeared in some top movies.
Following Harry Enfield and Chums, Kathy Burke appeared in a few television shows, before having success with a show of her own in the hit series Gimme Gimme Gimme. The show also starred James Dreyfus and began in 1997, running for three seasons, before ending in 2001.
Kathy Burke also found some success behind the camera, directing the comedy show Horne and Corden, as well as being executive producer on the show Walking and Talking, in which she played the Angry Nun. Yet her career was not only limited to the small screen.
Kathy also appeared in a number of movies, voicing the character Rita's Mum in the animated movie Flushed Away, while most recently appearing in the movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, which starred Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy. We have loved Kathy Burke's career so far and we hope to see plenty more of her in the future.
