Katie Cassidy stars as the female lead on the hit CW show 'Arrow', but this is the first television role that Cassidy has done that has come with such a passionate fan base.
In a new interview with Bellow Magazine, Katie talks about her audition process for 'Arrow', saying that she wanted it so much that she refused to audition for anything else. She explained, "After I read the script, I knew that this was something I wanted to do. The process just took longer than I had expected. I wanted the part so bad, I actually told my agent and manager that I wasn’t going to read anything else. I had read other material, but hadn’t responded to it the way I responded to Arrow. I wanted to make it known that I wanted this part so bad that I stopped going out.”
She also talked about the show getting picked up for a second season, adding, "Getting picked up early was definitely a surprise for us. It all came together. I’m actually kind of sad to not see our crew and cast as we take our hiatus.”
'Arrow' has currently been renewed for a second season, and remains one of the CW's highest rated television shows [behind the Vampire Diaries', and the highest among newcomers.
