Katie Couric had recently given an interview promoting her new talk show, and she had stated that she didn't understand why the Kardashians were famous, and added that she thought only teenage girls were actually interested.
However, this seemed to upset Kim Kardashian, because she then uploaded an image of a gift card Katie had sent her congratulating her on North West's birth, and underneath the image she had written, "I Hate Fake Media Friends.” Apparently, Kim was upset that Katie was being a hypocrite by sending her a gift and then saying things about her family in the media.
Katie has now responded to Kim's message, and through a statement via E! Online, she wrote, "I've met Kim before and I think she’s a really sweet person. I was responding to a reporter’s question, and explaining how I’m intrigued by the public’s fascination with her family. I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I’m happy for Kim and Kanye."
Well, she technically didn't say 'sorry' for her comments, which means that she was just reaching out to reiterate her point. What do you guys think about Katie's apology? Let us know in the comments.
