We have seen a whole host of high-profile relationships falling apart over the years and, while some of these breakups get messy and hateful, there are others where the two parties are amicable with one another. This is always nice to see during a breakup, especially when there are children involved.
One such celebrity couple, who have managed to be amicable during and after their split, is Hollywood couple Katie Holmes and her ex-husband Tom Cruise, who have eight year old daughter Suri Cruise together. Katie has now opened up about her life with her daughter Suri, the relationship they share and how things have changed over the years.
Holmes explained, "I am really focused on motherhood and work right now. Motherhood is the greatest gift. When I became a mother, my life completely changed. I've seen Frozen a lot. But the biggest change? I think you don't know—I didn't know how much love I had in me. It's overwhelming. Every day I discover more about this spectacular human being I get to be the mother of."
Katie Holmes rose to stardom as a young girl, becoming a household name thanks to her role as Joey in the hit television series Dawson's Creek. That was a long time ago now but the career of Katie is still going strong, with a number of new projects lined up for the coming years.
Next up for Katie Holmes is the movie The Giver, which sees her share the screen with Alexander Skarsgard, Meryl Streep, Brenton Thwaites, Jeff Bridges, and Taylor Swift. The Giver is directed by Phillip Noyce, based on the screenplay developed by Michael Mitnick and Robert B. Weide from the Lois Lowry novel, with a release date set for August 15.
